I just finished #16 in this series (there are 20...well, 21 sort of), the story in this one taking place mainly in South America. If you watch Parks and Recreation you may have noticed Ron Swanson lounging at the Harvest Festival reading Patrick O'Brian ("...this book about old ships."). I'm a few books ahead of Ron :)
I link to Green Apple Books in San Francisco and/or Powell's in Portland because they are my favorite bookstores...local, independent, and awesome.
